Poetry from Brianna Dawn.

washed away undercurrents

you crash along the shore line
keeping sand and shells within
arm’s reach for people walking
along the water, the color of fire
in the sunset – but you roll in,
becoming shallow, i cannot
be swept away by you, there
simply isn’t enough depth for me –
your undercurrents are
undetectable, lost at sea

written by Tiny Fawns for daily prompt: shallow
