Poetry from Brianna Dawn.

puddled

i ripped it open,
my head. i let all the
juicy words spill out –
their sounds and feelings
sloshing around on
the pavement. here you
come, with a water hose to
wash it all away – you
should have just left me
there and went on your way.
i could have been the rain
puddle someone jumped
joyously into today, but
instead, you made sure
i had nothing left to say
