Tiny Fawns

Daily poetry from Brianna Dawn.

thinned out

i don’t put on emotions,
even though sometimes they feel
stretched across my skin
they come out of me, digging deep
before they try to push themselves
out from within, but i’ve lived
with them so long, they remained
tethered by bands to the hands
of my mind, that keep
my eyes covered when i don’t
want to look behind
