Poetry from Brianna Dawn.

stallions and flowers

i imagine you’re settled into
your new place now – skies
for floors, sun as the ceiling light,
clouds to bunch and wrap around
yourself in cold, dark nights –
but on my cloudy days, send
a bit of humor my way –
mold clouds into leaping dogs,
galloping stallions, or blossoming flowers
so that i may think of you during
the rainy hours, so that i may remember
your sweet smiles, i’ll trace outlines of
magical things in clouds and think
of you all the while
