Daily poetry from Brianna Dawn.

voice of gold

a voice once washed over
my heart, setting it adrift
into an existential sea where
others float, tattered, torn apart –
now the voice pierces
my soul, lost – adrift,
in a sea where only my
existence seems to be –
tattered, torn apart –
i wish you’d sing to me again,
your melodies seemed to tuck
all of the loose ends away
into the night, you were
once a lullaby, but now your
voice, made of gold
fades into the grey of
unmoving, sad skies
