Poetry from Brianna Dawn.

iii. cold hands and arms

there’s a sea of stars between
your soul and mine, you left me here
wandering around lost,
believing you had no where else to
go, time was a shadow with cold hands
and arms, the world
held snow on her shoulders
for a little too long
you wrote your songs not to
save your heart, but to make
falling apart a little more gentle
a little less cruel on the heart
