Poetry from Brianna Dawn.

iv. gone cold

sadness doesn’t like
to hang around in the air
anymore than she has to,
she dislikes the cold winter
wind as much as we do,
she just wishes she could
make a little warmer
truths gone cold –
they settle into
a dusty golden sunlight
winter, it’s too cold this year
it feels like it has grown old
lost its courage and cheer
