Poetry from Brianna Dawn.

word camo

sometimes i like to take words and
turn them inside out, figure out
what they’re all about – how they
can change temperament when whispered
or tossed with a shout, or how i think one thing
but others think “that’s not what it’s all about”,
words circle and spiral and twist around
what we try to convey in relation
to what we know, but we can’t show more
without turning silence inside out to
allow our words to grow
